Here and Now Community Society first started its service in July 2008 with a monthly 2-night-and-3-day home camp to Korean adults with disabilities who were isolated in order to provide fun activities and chances of being connected to them and rest to their parents.

It added its day program, called Art Studio, once a week from April 2011 to help them express their creativity and improve employment skills. We have used art works of participants in the program for making and selling cards and calendars every year and compensate some of profits. It extended the day program to twice a week with more programs such as cooking and baking, dance and sports, and life skills.

It was incorporated with the Registrar of Companies in Victoria, BC on May 04, 2011 and registered as a non-profit charitable organization on August 17, 2012 under number 80319 8001 RR0001.

In 2013, Here and Now Community Society, inspired by PLAN model, has worked with PLAN to explore the adoption of PLAN model as a method to create Safe and Secure Futures and Personal Support Networks for Korean people with disabilities and their families. From 2014, it started to offer future planning and help build a personal support network for its members.

In November 2017, Here & Now has qualified a Service Provider of CLBC (Community Living BC). We have provided the individuals referred by CLBC with Community Inclusion and Home Share services since August 2018.
